1. Rental Agreement
By renting a vehicle from Self Drive Nepal Pvt. Ltd., both parties agree to adhere to the terms outlined in this agreement. The renter ("Second Party") must provide valid identification and driving credentials.
2. Rental Period and Fees
Rental periods and fees are agreed upon at the time of booking. Fees must be paid in advance. Extensions require mutual consent.
3. Driver Eligibility
Vehicles are rented on a self-drive basis.
To rent and drive the vehicle, the driver must:
Be aged between 20 and 60 years.
Drivers must hold a valid driving license (Nepalese or an International Driving Permit recognized by Nepal).
4. Authorized Drivers
Only the designated customer may drive the vehicle unless prior written approval is obtained from the service provider.
5. Vehicle Condition and Usage
A two-hour trial is provided to inspect the vehicle. Issues must be reported within this timeframe. The vehicle must not be used for unlawful purposes, off-road driving without approval, or overloading. Unauthorized modifications or misuse are prohibited.
6. Vehicle Return Condition
Customers are required to return the vehicle after a full wash to facilitate a quick inspection process. Failure to comply will result in a Cleaning Fee of NPR 1,000 and a Driver and Vehicle Engagement Fee of NPR 1,500, totaling NPR 2,500, which will be added to the final invoice. This policy ensures efficient inspections and maintains vehicle quality. For further assistance, please contact customer support.
7. Accidents and Liability
Renters are responsible for all damages not covered by insurance, including accidents due to negligence or misuse. Insurance claims are limited to the policy’s coverage. Additional costs are the renter’s responsibility. Daily rental fees apply for the duration the vehicle is grounded due to repairs.
8. Replacement Policy
Within Kathmandu Valley: Replacement vehicles provided subject to availability. Outside Kathmandu Valley: Renters bear associated costs, including fuel and technician fees.
9. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required before vehicle handover.
For nationals: Bank cheques equivalent to Rs. 100,000 or cash NPR 100,000.
For foreigners: Credit card authorization or cash equivalent to USD 1000.
The deposit may be used to cover damages or unpaid fees.
10. Breach of Agreement
Subleasing or allowing unauthorized drivers is prohibited. Renters bear full legal and financial responsibility for violations, accidents, or misuse.
11. Additional Provisions
Renters must seek prior approval for part replacements. The company reserves the right to retrieve the vehicle in case of misuse or non-compliance. Legal disputes will be resolved under Nepalese law.
